Super cool Animation!!!!!!!!

 

This week we made school values animation's Olivia and I chose the value Kaitiakitanga. Kaitiakitanga means respect my own and other peoples property and Care for ourselves other and the environment. Our class decided to do animation's for the school values because at Monday morning meeting when the student councillors said the school value for the week it was really boring. everyone in the class made a animation so if you want to check theirs out just clink on the link Link the link will take you to our class blog. All Emergency Rescue Centres in town!!!

Last week at school we went to a thing in town called Clued Up Kids. It was held at the boys brigade hall in town. There was 8 stations they were the Fire Brigade, Police search and rescue, St Johns, Animal safety, Kitchen Safety, Alpine Fault, Motorbike Safety and Kiwi Rail. For example in the St Johns activity we did bandaging and say you got a knife stuck in your arm we learnt what to do if something got stuck like that. We had to have a buddy, and bandage them, and the two rules we learnt were apply pressure and elevate. In the fire brigade one we had to crawl through a tunnel in the dark to find the exit. My favourite one was the Motorbike safety and the animal safety, I liked the Animal safety on because we got to learn about horses and also pat a horse, I liked the Motorbike safety because I like Motorbikes and it was fun because we got to sit on the motorbike and the person that was doing the  motorbike thing tipped the motorbike when we where sitting on it.  This year I am a year 6 so I get to sign up for thing like Sports council, Student council, Hapu leader, IT monitor and things like that. I chose to be a part of the Student council because I wanted to do assembly and Whanau time. I wanted to be Sports council because I wanted to help out in the PE shed and help set up the Hapu sports activities. I wanted to be an Enviro leader because I liked being in the school Enviro group an helping plants to grow. I got all three of the things I signed up for. Summer Learning Journey

Today we signed up for the Summer Learning Journey for the school holidays. Our first activity was an art colouring book. Here is the link to the colouring book Link. We had to go onto there and choose an image and I chose the waves. Then I got to repaint it, but there was only a certain amount of colours to choose from. I liked doing it because I liked the way that there was all sorts of pictures to choose from. Have you ever done the Summer Learning Journey before? 

Barrier Games

 

Today we did barrier games with Mrs Minehan. I was partnered up with Sora and you can go check out her blog post Click here. We had to move shapes on our screens and then we had to describe how to do it to our partner. For Example: The yellow dinosaur goes in the bottom right hand corner and the tree in bottom left hand corner. The one I liked the most where you had to say where all of the pictures went. I learnt about how tricky it is to give instructions when you can't see what the other person is doing and when they are facing a different direction. Have you ever played a barrier game?

Calendar Art

This term with Mrs Swinburn we did calendar art. We got to choose what we wanted to do for it. I  decided to do a fox because they are my favourite animal and I liked the idea of the background because I think it looks nice. Does your School do calendar art?
