This Friday our teacher told us that we had to bake Anzac biscuits or something else this weekend. I decided to make biscuits and an Anzac slice. I hope you enjoy reading on how I made them. Have you ever baked anything for Anzac Day?
Elizabeth you did a fantastic job at making the slice and apart from the caramel it has the same ingredients as the anzac biscuits...I am so lucky to be living with these great bakers. Did you enjoy baking today Elizabeth?
Hi Lizzie I love your slide, it's awesome! Your biscuits and slice look so yummy, I wish I could leave my bubble and come for a cup of tea and a slice of cake and a biscuit. Are you enjoying your new way of learning (online)?
Hi Lizzie Thanks for sharing your Anzac baking. They look reall tasty. Anzac biscuits are one of my favourites. My daughter Laura who is 20, has been home for the lockdown and has made me some Anzac biscuits too. Apparently Anazc biscuits were a favourite to send to the soilders during the war, as the ingrediants didn't go off, so they lasted a long time. Unfortunately they don't last very long in our house! Hi Lizzie The cake was really yummy. Whoever took those photio's must be a really good phatogropher. I can't wait for more of your blog posts. Keep Blogging Belinda
Kia ora Elizabeth, Well done on doing such delicious looking baking! I can honestly say that I have never heard of ANZAC slice before, but it definitely looks pretty yummy and like something I would enjoy! How did you come up with the idea of ANZAC slice? Did you have to wait for the caramel to cool before you could spread it on the slice? How long did you have to bake it for with the caramel and topping on top? It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know! I noticed how you served your slice with a hot drink. Whenever I have a piece of baking I always eat it alongside a cup of coffee. I really like how the sweet baking compliments the bitter coffee, however I understand that you probably aren’t a coffee drinker! What kind of drink did you have with your ANZAC slice? Did you share it with anyone else? On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being disgusting and 10 being absolutely fantastic, what do you rate your ANZAC slice and why? Keep blogging! Nga mihi
